Butler’s Flat is a seasonal clam shack in Capri Marina West on Manhasset Bay opened by Christopher Blumlo (Co-Owner Restaurant Marc Forgione) in 2012. It was named after the lighthouse Butler Flats in the South End of New Bedford, Massachusetts where seven generations of his family have grown up.

It was inspired by his early years in N.B. with family eating fried clams, scallops and digging up littlenecks in the mud flats of Buzzards Bay; and the many years since fishing in the Sound and eating lobster rolls and littlenecks by the dozen with his wife at a road side Shack in Amagansett.

We support local purveyors, which means most of what you will eat and drink here comes from the Northeast. Our lobsters come from Maine or Canada. Scallops from New Bedford or Montauk. Shrimp from Maine or the Gulf. Clams from mudflats along the East Coast. Oysters from families who have been digging them for generations. Our catch specials come from Montauk and are caught with a line & pole.  Our beer is from the Northeast and wine is from the New York.

We care about the food we serve and hope you enjoy it. Thank You for joining us.
